The last couple days have been a little tiring. My baby Worthy is sick!! :( Let's start with Tuesday.
After Zeus got home from work we got ready to go to his youngest sister's volleyball game. She's a senior and we made it to most, if not all, of her home games. We're going to miss watching her play! Anyway, Worthy seemed fine at the game but he was more than ready to leave when it was done. Usually he runs around the gym while the team cleans up and takes everything down, but he kept saying, "I go. I go."...which is a little weird since Worthy is a very active little boy and loves to run around after the games. When we got home we noticed he was a little warm so we gave him medicine before going to bed.
Wednesday morning his fever came back. He was definitely not himself. He loves him some movies but when I put one on for him, he turned it off and then laid on the couch and closed his eyes and tried to fall asleep. Which is even EXTRA weird because he has NEVER before voluntarily done THAT. After his naps he'll seem ok but after being up for so long he'll look exhausted. We contemplated taking the boys to our ward's Trunk or Treat last night but didn't want to risk Worthy getting worse. So instead, we stayed home and carved a pumpkin while daddy made us some yummy pork chops. ;)
I have been getting just a little worried about how much water Worthy drinks. I'm happy he loves his water, but I'm not sure if being thirsty for water ALL THE TIME is a symptom of some sort. Last night I woke up every 2 hours to check on him and each time, his diaper was over saturated and pee was all over his shirt and the blankets he was using. I had to change his shirt and sheets 3 times by 7 in the morning. Maybe it's because he's sick?? I'm not sure...but we'll see how things go when he gets better.
This morning I was almost in tears looking at him. He is EXTRA boney and his face is a little sunken. By one look, you can tell he's sick. I absolutely hate feeling this helpless. I wish I could take his sickness away. He slept almost all day, only waking up to eat then falling right back to sleep. I hope my baby feels better tomorrow. It doesn't feel right at all without him. :(
On another note, the head coach for the men's basketball team offered Zeus a position on the coaching staff on a volunteer basis. Zeus is hoping to help out with the freshman but it all depends on the practice schedule. From next week until the end of the year Zeus works AM Tues-Sat except on the holidays. What's good about being a PRN at his job is he has the opportunity to pick his shifts...as long as he gets the 6-week sign up sheet first he'll get whatever shift he wants. But if he gets it after all the other employees he has to pick up whatever shift is left and hope that he gets his 40 hours every week. So far so good. Even if he is only scheduled a couple days out of the week, he can always pick up because a lot of times his work is short on staff. ANYWAY, yeah so we're excited! HOPEFULLY the schedules work out well so he can coach. Even though he won't be getting paid, I would really be happy if he did it because it's what he loves and he can get his foot in the door with getting experience coaching basketball. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!! :)
On another nother note (haha) I'm excited for Halloween!! I hope Worthy is feeling better by Monday so we can take him trick or treating. We probably won't trick or treat long because he is always needing to use the bathroom AND because I know he will be a little scared (ok a lot) of everybody else and their costumes.
So...remember how I wanted to take Zeus to that Urban Legends concert?? I WANTED to but when he got sick we had to buy his prescription medicine and it cost more than both of our tickets combined and that's where our ticket money went to. I was a little bummed, but it's a good thing I never bought the tickets because I won't want to leave Worthy come Saturday and he's still trying to get better. Oh well, it's VEGAS!! Artists come here to perform all the time. We can go out another time. I'll just look forward to Monday and everything we have planned for the boys on Halloween!!
