Has it been a week already?? That was fast!! Ok so day seven. I was looking through all Zeus's cds trying to find the song we danced to on our wedding day by Luther Vandross, If This World Were Mine. I couldn't find it. :( So I had to settle for the song we walked out to by Jaheim, Heaven in my Eyes (the song I have set up for this blog).
While we were just sitting around this morning watching the boys play with their toys, I played this song and grabbed Zeus to slow dance. We do this once every couple months. Just because. Sometimes we will have music playing and one of us will just grab the other to dance. And I can't remember the last time we did it. Every time we do this, because we don't do it often, it makes me think of our wedding day. And how blessed I feel that our love for each other has grown so much more since that day over three years ago. It never fails how in love I feel as we do something as simple as this. It only takes as long as a favorite song and something always seems to happen within those few minutes. You feel the love between you two growing. If you've done this before you know what I'm talking about. If you haven't, I suggest you try it and see for yourself.
It started just us two and then we both grabbed a baby because Worthy started crying. Yes Worthy does NOT like when I hug Zeus a little too long or try to snuggle up next to him. Lol By the end of the song the boys were on the ground and we were all holding hands and swinging them back and forth like we were about to play ring around the rosy. Hahaha.
So I guess I'll try for another slow dance after the boys are out for the night. :)
Since I've started this thing I'm doing, I've noticed how much more thoughtful we are to each other. I'm not saying we never were before. I'm saying that just because our life can be hectic and busy sometimes, doesn't mean we should get lost in what we do daily and forget who we are to each other and the meaning behind the words I LOVE YOU. You know, when you're saying goodbye on the phone and say "kloveyoubye" so fast because you've said it every day for over three years and you're just used to saying it. But now it's kind of like we've revived the meaning. Now when we say it, we say it with meaning behind it, a little slower, as to not make it seem like we're saying it out of habit. I can feel the MEANING when he says it, not just hear the words. Am I making sense??
Anyway, we have a sectional and last night I purposely fell asleep on the side that's not directly facing our TV because I knew Zeus would be up for a little bit playing his game. When I woke up an hour later, I found Zeus sitting on the floor beside me and he had turned the TV so it was facing him, just so he can sit next to me and still be able to play. It made me feel special and so loved!! It's the little things like this that melt my heart. And my heart has melted quite a few times over the last week. :) I love my husband!!
