I had a checkup today. Holy depressing. Well...as far as my weight gain!! Baby is doing perfect and I can't complain about that. But omg, 8 pounds everybody!! 8 heavy pounds in 4 weeks. That's 2 pounds a week. Practically as much as a good size baby!! :( Sad face!! LOTS of sad faces!! On the bright side, this whole pregnancy I've only gained 11 pounds so far. I was wrong a few posts ago. I said I had only gained 6, when I really only gained 3. So I guess that's one thing I should be happy about. But in all honesty, I'm not. :(
At least I know what I need to work on from now until baby is born. The last 4 weeks I have done absolutely HORRIBLE with exercising and eating healthy. Not to mention giving in to all my sweet tooth cravings. Cookies, brownies, candy, ice cream, SODA. yes, soda. I did really good from New Year until the end of June with my NO SODA resolution. And then it turned into a sip here and there, and then to a few cups, and then...well THEN I kind of lost control. So here I am, starting my goal again of being soda-free. And after weigh in this morning, I've definitely got some motivation.
My goals for the next 3 months are:
No soda
Eat sweets sparingly
Get back to my morning and evening walks
Fruits, fruits, and more fruits!
Gain no more than 5 pounds by due date
*SIGH* What it really comes down to is self-control. I guess I'll just take it one day at a time and see where it goes from there. :/
Wish me luck. I'm really gonna need it with Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas around the corner.
