Another sleepless night tonight because I can't frickin breathe. My poor babies are gonna have a grouchy mommy tomorrow. But I'll really try my best to be patient despite the lack of sleep I'll be getting tonight. :(
Anyway, so we're almost into the last quarter of the year...the best part! Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas!! Bam, bam, bam. That's how it's going to feel for me. The rest of the year is going to fly, I can't believe we're almost into October!!
HALLOWEEN. I've decided on the boys costumes. They are going to be Thing 1 and Thing 2 from Dr. Seuss's Cat in the Hat. It was a tie between that and the minions from Despicable Me. I thought the Things would be cuter and a little bit more fun to make since I wanted to make their costumes this year. Well I guess either way it'd be easy. All I would need for minions is a yellow shirt and overalls and hand make the heads. And for the Things I just need to make the logos and wigs. Simple yeah?? I guess we'll see!! Wish me luck. I hope these costumes turn out. I'm excited to start using my brain's creativity for once in what seems like forever.
I'm also excited because Ana (Ulysses's wife) and I decided we want to make a little haunted house for the boys in the back yard. Gramma them have PLENTY of boxes we can use to make a little something they can run around in. I guess it'll be more like a tent made of boxes...you know, the ones we all used to make when we were little. But instead, make it a bigger one, maybe even a miniature maze and we'll cut windows in the walls and throw our hands in to try and catch them. If I'm not making sense oh well. I know what I'm talking about. Haha I wish we lived in a HOUSE already! It would be so much fun to decorate and be able to hand out candy to the cute trick or treaters! But I guess that'll just have to wait a few more years. I'll probably have a lot more fun taking the boys trick or treating anyway. :)
THANKSGIVING and CHRISTMAS. Mmmm. When I think of these two holidays I think of the seasons and everything it entails. Cooler weather. Snuggling with a nice cup of hot chocolate. YUMMY food. The holiday spirit. Etc etc etc. I used to hate fall and winter because it meant plants were dying, animals were migrating, and bad weather. It was like having gloomy rainy days for months. Blah. But now that I'm away from the extremes of fall and winter in Vegas where it's cool but not bitter, and a stranger to snow, I miss it!! I never thought I'd say that. But I do!! I'm going to miss the white Christmases I remember growing up. And the bitter cold air that bites you to the bone. But Thanksgiving is Thanksgiving and Christmas is Christmas all the same no matter where and how you celebrate it. And this is going to be an extra special Christmas because our family of 4 will become a family of 5. Still can't believe it when I think about it sometimes. :)
Where did this year go?? I remember like it was yesterday Worthy's birthday in April. It kind of feels like I went to sleep and woke up months later. I guess that means we've been staying busy since time is moving along so fast, right? I'm not sure if it's a good thing or bad thing letting time slip away like that. Months passed and I haven't really done anything to improve myself. Well, I guess trying to be a better mommy counts for something?? Still doesn't make me feel better. Ok...so a mental note to me, be a little more productive these last few months!! And make it seem like I did SOMETHING in 2011. Holy moly. Well the year isn't over yet. I can still do something that'll make me feel a little accomplished. So here we go!! To the next few months. May I accomplish one thing I've wanted to all year! Oh my. How depressing...
