Easter weekend in LA!!

We had a very fun and fat-filled Easter weekend. This was the first time since 2009 all the Manumaleuna siblings were together. AND it was extra special since it was the very first time all the grandchildren were able to be together.

We had a choice either to leave Thursday night or Friday morning, but with experience, everytime we leave in the morning we never get a lot of sleep due to procrastination and last minute packing. So we left Salt Lake Thursday night. Friday after all of Zeus's family got in, some of us checked into a hotel and then got ready to go to the Long Beach Aquarium.

It was soo neat!! Worthy LOVED looking at the fish...from far away. lol. And I loved watching Worthy's reaction to the sharks and the fishes that looked like Dory on 'Finding Nemo'. Not only was I having fun watching my boys have fun, but I really enjoyed myself learning about different kinds of fish and actually seeing them in real life. On our way out we stopped at the gift shop and I bought Worthy a Disney book all about animals and a little backpack that had wheels and a handle that could extend about 6 in out. I have yet to see him use it. hahaha. We had dinner at a chinese buffet in Carson and it was sooooo good!!

Saturday morning, Zeus and I woke up early and caught a session in the Los Angeles Temple. It was beautiful!! Went back to the hotel, got dressed, and took the boys to the beach to take some pictures.

It was windy and chilly so we didn't stay that long. Plus the boys were a little grouchy. It's kind of hard to keep them on schedule when we're out of town!! They did manage to get a little nap in before we went to a barbeque. I wish Worthy wasn't scared to play in the huge jumper they had!! There were only a handful of kids and I know Worthy would have had fun. We ate some good barbeque and there was an Easter egg hunt for the kids. They also had the kids decorate their own little visor with letters for their name and cupcakes with frosting and sprinkles!!

I thought that was a neat idea even though it was messy. lol. But I like the idea so much, I'm gonna try to make it a fun tradition for my boys every easter and maybe even every holiday to decorate cupcakes! ;)

It felt good to soak up a little sun before we left to meet the rest of the family who didn't attend the barbeque. We met at a SO YUMMY!! restaurant in San Pedro called J.TRANIs. Frank is really close friends with the owner and Zeus is good friends with his son, who is also the cook. The last time we went was in '08 and I will never ever forget how yummy their food is!! Here, was the first time I ever tried calamari and I was addicted!! So when we went that evening, calamari was basically the only thing I ate. There was so much food!!

Sunday...HAPPY EASTER!! The boys woke up at 7 am, which is usual time because it's 8 am in Utah. It's like they have an alarm in their head, no matter how late they sleep, they always wake up at 8. On the way home from Trani's I stopped at Target to get the boys' Easter things. I was sooo happy to see how happy Worthy was when he woke up and found what the "Easter Bunny" had left him. ;) He was all smiles and so was I!!

Sunday was also checkout so while we got ready for church we packed our things. We only attended sacrament meeting and then made our way to the cemetary to visit Zeus's grandparents and other family and to take pictures. For late lunch/early dinner we went out to Hometown buffet. I swear I gained 10 lbs in 3 days. And the outfit I wore to church didn't help AT ALL. Made me look pregnant. lol. FOR REAL THO!! Then we went to Brandon's and relaxed for a little bit. Since all the grandchildren were around we made an attempt to take a picture of them all together. LOL!!

(OMG, SO I WAS JUST PLAYING AROUND WITH THIS WHOLE BLOG THING AND WHATEVER I DID ERASED THE 2ND HALF OF THIS POST!! IM SO MAD!!) So...to be continued...
