So much to write about. That's what I get for waiting so long to update my blog. I'll try to get everything that's happened the last 3 weeks. I didn't finish my last entry...but we drove from LA to Vegas so we can sign papers for our new place and pick up the keys. That Monday we spent in Vegas was also Worthy's birthday!! So after waking up early to meet with the landlord, sign papers, and pick up our new keys, we took Worthy to Toys R Us to pick out whatever he wanted. We spent over an hour walking around picking out every toy Worthy pointed at. With every toy we put in the cart we put the previous one back on the shelf...lol. And then he saw the little tikes car, jumped in, and cried when we told him it was time to get out. He finally got out, but started pushing the car around wherever we walked...like he didn't want to let it out of his sight. hahahaha. I wish I snapped a picture, but I was too busy trying to find him a toy we could actually take on the plane with us back to Utah. We ended up just getting him a little box of fish toys and decided to shop for his bday present when we got back home.
Also that day...I took a pregnancy test and it came out POSITIVE!! woohoo!! So not only did we get keys to our new place that day, but it was Worthy's bday, and mommy found out she was pregnant with baby #3!! Which is what I really wanted because then Waylon and baby will be 16 months apart...the same amount between Worthy and Waylon. ;) Zeus swears it's a boy. I honestly won't be surprised if it is! But I do have a little hope we have a girl this time around. Here goes to another 9 months pregnant during the summer. Boo summer heat!!
Anyways, I decided last minute to go to Missouri THAT weekend for my brother and sister-in-law's sealing in St. Louis. And it was sad for me because I knew I'd have to leave Worthy behind for the very first time and spend DAYS without him. He just turned 2 which meant we would have to pay for a ticket...and we just didn't have the money. :( All week I was dreading the flight out on Friday but I was busy packing so it kept my mind off saying goodbye. But Friday came and Zeus took me to the airport...and it was extra sad because Worthy started crying when they were driving off! My poor baby!! :( But that was the hardest part. After a few minutes of my crying I was fine. Now I was concentrating on getting me and Waylon passed security!
We made it to St. Louis fine. Woke up early the next morning and went through a session and then JT and Peti's sealing. It was a beautiful day! Perfect for a beautiful occasion! We ate (of course) then drove back to Independence and a couple of the missionaries JT is close to came over before heading back to Kansas where they are serving. (They were given permission to drive to St. Louis for the sealing). We played JUST DANCE on the Wii...and omg, can you picture me doing the harlem shake?? good, don't. LOL!!
Church on Sunday, then out to eat again in celebration of dad's bday!! HAPPY BDAY OLD MAN!! We relaxed on Monday and I was on the plane to Vegas on Tuesday morning. The day I flew out to Missouri is the same day Zeus drove to Vegas with all our stuff. You would think two weeks later we'd be settled in and I wish that was the case, but it's not. Being pregnant I don't feel like unpacking ANYTHING. I have my good days and bad days. But even on my good days I still feel nauseous. :(
Mother's Day was last Sunday. Zeus offered to take me out wherever I wanted, but I just wasn't feeling it...and all I wanted was him to make his corned beef/spaghetti concoction. haha. for real! I have really been craving polynesian food this last week, especially some yummy PALUSAMI!! mmmm my mouth is watering just thinking about it. ANYWAYS, Zeus's mom Siliga invited me to dinner at Claim Jumper with her sisters and mom along with Ulysses's wife, Ana. It was soo good and I was soo stuffed.
We finally got out of the house on Wednesday and took the boys to the park. It was nice to get some fresh air and meet up with Zeus's siblings. Ended the night at gramma and papa's house eating pizza. MMMM can't go wrong with that!!
Zeus finally started shadowing this week. So...back to reality. Work, work, work, and of course family fun. ;)
I've got to say...we have truly been blessed throughout all this moving and transferring. Everything fell into place PERFECTLY. Zeus's schedule, being able to move in when we needed to, this pregnancy. As much work as we put into this whole thing, there's no way we could have done it all without our Heavenly Father's guidance in everything we've accomplished thus far. There were times when I didn't know how we would be able to pull this move off AND be financially stable with all the money we needed to put out for the moving truck and deposit and first month's rent...but I learned that with faith in doing what I knew was God's will...he will make it happen! AND HE DID!! And we're happy!
THE CHURCH IS TRUE PEOPLE!!
Until next time... ;)
