We decided to celebrate our anniversary throughout the whole weekend (with the boys of course). So on Friday we took the boys to the park until it got chilly out, then we took them to Valley Fair Mall to play in the little play area they have. We went to Dee's for dinner.
On Saturday, we took the boys swimming for their first time at the West Valley Rec. Worthy was scared at first and he definitely didn't like the arm floaties we put on him, but he got used to it after awhile. If Waylon wasn't tired I'm sure he would have had fun too but he only stayed in for about 15 minutes until I took him out. Not long after he dried off he fell asleep. We stayed for about an hour (that's when Zeus got hungry lol) Worthy didn't want to get out!! We went home so the boys (including their daddy) can take a nap and they slept about 3 hours...all of them. By the time they woke up and got ready it was time to head to the movies. We took the boys to see Rio and it was sooo funny. Worthy LOVED it. I loved seeing him laugh and sing along with the songs. Waylon, as if he didn't sleep at all, fell asleep and slept through the whole movie. To end our night, I was craving a blondie from Applebee's. For the first time, we put the boys in their high chairs on one side of the table and Zeus and I sat on the other side. It felt sooo good to spend a fun and eventful day with my boys.
Monday, our actual anniversary, Zeus went to Vegas for an interview at a treatment center. Same company just different location. One night last month after Zeus came home from work, we started talking about everything. And for some reason we really felt like we should move back to Vegas, even though we had already put down a deposit for an apartment here in Salt Lake. With lots of praying and scripture study we received the answer we were looking for. Zeus applied at the treatment center in Vegas and we waited for a whole month until we received an email saying they want him to come in for an interview. AND...he got it!! A few weeks ago when we made a trip down for Zion's baptism we looked at a few places. Can you believe some condos in Vegas are cheaper than apartments in Salt Lake?? Weird. Out of all the condos we looked at, only one is still available and I had Zeus submit our app after his interview. We were approved! ;) So we've past the hardest part of job and house searching all we need to do is move. It's official...we're making our move next Saturday. I never thought we'd ever move back to Vegas this soon. But when it feels right and it's what Heavenly Father is telling you in your heart 'this is where you should be' then who am I to do otherwise?? Anyway, when Zeus got back in town we celebrated by going to Dee's again. lol yea we are pigs.
I can't express how blessed I feel. I can't describe how much love I feel not only from Heavenly Father but also my boys. What greater way to celebrate the anniversary of the love of 2 people than to spend it with 2 perfect angels our love has created?
We don't know what the future holds but it'll be an adventure taking this journey with my boys. This past weekend was the best weekend I've EVER had and if this is what I have to look forward to, then I am ready to ride each and every rollercoaster life has in store for us!!
