i see light!!

From my previous post I said the last few weeks I've had sick babies. Waylon is completely over it and Worthy still has little bit of a runny nose but it's almost done.
Waylon had his 6 month appointment last week. He still weighs 21 pounds, thank goodness. Any heavier and I think my arm will fall off. And since he hit 6 months I decided I'm going to wean him from eating at night. With breastfeeding it's kind of hard because the milk digests faster than formula so babies tend to eat more frequently and when they wake in the middle of the night, chances are they really are hungry. For a couple nights last week we (well, me not Zeus) wanted to let him cry it out until he put himself to sleep. OH. MY. GOSH. This boy would NOT stop crying. And it's not like his crying faded the longer he cried. No. He was full on crying to the max for half hour to 45 minutes until I gave in. I only tried this for 2 nights because I was soo tired during the day and I don't think I could have handled another night of hearing my poor baby cry for mommy. :( So I decided to feed him more during the day and lay him down RIGHT before he falls asleep so he knows how to relax and put himself to sleep. Baby food 3 times a day, rice for breakfast, fruit for lunch, and vegetables for dinner, and an 8 oz bottle before bedtime. I still breastfeed him before his naps. After the first day I tried this, he slept thru the night. I was sooo happy!! He still woke up a couple times and cried a little but he went right back to sleep after a few minutes. I breastfed Worthy during the night until he was 8 months and then fed him a bottle when I got pregnant. I WISH I did this with him too and I would have gotten a lot more sleep. I'm soo proud of both my boys!!
Yesterday was Valentines and I felt it was a great occasion to celebrate the end of the three longest weeks EVER. We finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. The boys getting over their sickness and Waylon finally sleeping thru the night. And what a great night it was!! Tucanos was yummy!! :)
