Worthy is growing up!!

Since Monday, Worthy has had a stuffy/runny nose and now it hurts when he wipes it because he wipes it often. So he asked for a Band-Aid to make it all feel better. :)

Sunday was a turning point for Worthy whether he knew it or not. Because he is a mama's boy and I admit I baby him way too much, Sunday was the third week in a row I left him and Waylon in nursery by themselves.

Ever since Waylon turned 18 months he was totally fine being alone in nursery. He plays with the other kids, listens to the lesson, and LOVES snack time.

Worthy, on the other hand, needed to be connected to my hip!! I hated hearing him cry and couldn't bring myself to just leave him. But since he will be turning 4 next year and graduating to primary, I figured I better get over myself and get him used to nursery.

(**Side note: I just wanna say that the nursery leaders really make a difference. If they are really hands on with making the kids feel comfortable in nursery, it's an easy transition. If not, then the kids will NEVER wanna stay.)

Three weeks ago, I finally got the guts to leave Worthy in nursery. And it was sooo helpful that one of the helpers for that Sunday works with kindergarten students for a living so she knew exactly how to handle the kids who don't want their parents to leave. She was sooo good and was actually the reason why I felt like he will be just fine if I left him. So I did.

I snuck out when Worthy wasn't looking and heard him sobbing the second after I closed the door. He cried for a good 5-10 minutes until he finally stopped. I had to hold the door shut because he was trying to get out! :( But after class when I went to pick him up, he was sooooo proud of himself and all week kept asking to go to church.

The next Sunday, he was crying because he didn't want to go to church and to class. It was the Sunday Zeus was sick and I was so tempted to stay home but pushed myself to go so Worthy can get used to going and staying by himself. That time, he only cried for a couple minutes. Getting better!

All last week Worthy kept asking to go to church and then come Sunday he was crying and saying he wanted to stay home with daddy because he felt sick. And how bout he even told me he wanted to take a nap and started fake sleeping on the couch when he saw us putting our shoes on. Lol

Anyway, I left him in class and he didn't even cry for a whole minute before he was just fine. I even found out after class that he was such a good helper!! :) So we'll see how this Sunday goes...

On a different note, a lot of people think their kids talk too much. Lol But I LOVE IT!! I am starting to understand everything he says now that he's been going to speech therapy classes. I love my conversations with him. He talks and talks and talks. He is really good with saying Please, Thank you, Bless You. He even says SORRY MOM! When he does something he knows I wont be happy with and what I love most, is when I tell him I love him and he says I LOVE YOU TOO MOM! :) :)

Last Friday, Finding Nemo came out in 3D and his Auntie Janah wanted to take him and Waylon to watch it in theaters. I knew Waylon wouldn't keep the glasses on so I let Worthy go by himself (the very first time I let him go by himself with one of his aunties or uncles). I buckled him in her car and said, HAVE FUN! I LOVE YOU! while walking back to the house. And he shouted really loud, I LOVE YOU TOO MOM!! Omg, it melted my heart! Lol

I seriously can't believe he's growing up sooo fast!! Even though he may be too attached to me, I am really gonna cherish these times because it's not gonna last forever and before I know it, he's gonna be embarrassed to kiss me before walking into his classroom. Lol

Worthy! Who said you can grow up?! :(
