I think I do more things during the 3 summer months than I do the rest of the year combined. That's why I LOVE IT! Graduations, BBQs, parties, trips. Just so many more things to do during the summer.
We have been taking the kids to the park almost daily because they just get so restless cooped up in the house all day while daddy is at work. Times like these I really really REALLY wish we had another car so I can take the kids out on my own.
Last Tuesday we met up at the park with sis Lei who just moved here with her family from Missouri. She is my sister from another mister. We were attached by the hip in high school and she even came and lived with me for a few months when I lived in Midvale. It was so nice to see her and feels good to know I have someone else here from Missouri. Anyway, we took dinner to the park and stayed til around 9 at night. The kids had fun and the summer night felt so good.
On Wednesday we took the kids to the Farmers Market up the street to get some shaved ice. Last time we got 2 large and it was just too much so this time we got 2 small and it was just enough, maybe even just a little more than we needed. We always order the Li hing mui flavor with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the bottom and it topped with condensed milk. It was so ono as usual. :) I wouldn't mind making it a family tradition to go to every Wednesday. I know the kids would love it.
Saturday, our family had another BBQ at the same water park we had it at on Memorial Day. I loved every second of it. Food was GREAT, had a good time, AND I got a nice tan! :) :) After being there all day, we then went to another park where some guys were playing bball so the boys could get their game on. I went to sleep with a smile on my face because felt a little like I was back home with all this BBQing we've been doing.
We had such a good time that NONE of us woke up til after 11 Sunday morning. I was so surprised because the kids have never slept in that late. Ever. So it was a nice treat but we did end up missing church because our ward starts at 11. Dinner at gmas that night and last minute Zeus and I decided to go out. Theo was DJing at a b'day party so we left the kids at gmas when they were almost passed out for the night, around midnight, to check out the party. We got our groove on for a lil bit and then headed to the bowling alley after it was done. Theo, Triton, and Ares came with us. I LOVE THEM!! I am so blessed to have them as my brothers in law!! :) It was only $1 a game, but we only played one game because it was getting late. We finally got home around 3:30 am.
Monday was Mama and Papa Manumaleunas anniversary so we all went to Chili's for dinner, minus dad because he had to work. So mom spent her anniversary with us kids. :)
Busy weekend ahead of us. Tomorrow is lil sis Toree's high school graduation. We'll have dinner after. Friday is FINALLY the circus!! I have been looking forward to it for MONTHS!! Like, since the beginning of the year. I'm so excited because I know the boys are gonna LOVE it! And because the last time I've been to one was probably before I even started school. I only remember bits and pieces of it. Father's Day is on Sunday. Still haven't figured out what we're getting for daddy.
Anyway, LOVE busy weeks like this!! :)
