And its just the beginning...

SUMMER!! Summer is here! We've got so much going on this month.

Wait, lemme start over. Last week Monday was Memorial Day. Ulysses wife, Ana, and I wanted to do a little something to make it feel like we were both back home with our families so we planned a BBQ. Our families are the same in many ways, including always planning a get together on holidays just to spend time with each other. My family, like hers, love to get together just for the heck of it and celebrating holidays are just another excuse to hang out and eat.
Anyway, it got up to about 90 degrees on Monday and we thought the kids would have soo much fun if we took them to a water park. The good thing about Vegas is that there are plenty of free public outdoor water parks that also include regular playgrounds. We invited the whole family to come and celebrate Memorial Day at the park with us and our 2 little families. It turned out great!
When we got there, around 1 in the afternoon, it was already a little crowded and the pavilion was already taken. Good thing there were so many trees around, we spread our blankets out under a couple of trees. It was the perfect spot because where we sat was positioned right between the water park and the playground so we would be able to keep an eye on the kids no matter where they played.
Ana barbequed chicken (she forgot the sloppy joes at her house). I brought nachos, chips, brownies, and snacks. And mom them brought the drinks, rice, and a couple of side dishes. It was so perfect! We were there the rest the day and to top it off, I even got myself a nice little tan. :)
I really wished I could have bought that jumper for the kids before then so they could have played on it, but even if we did, it wouldn't have mattered because there were no outlets at that park. Which sucked also because I wanted to set up some music.
On Wednesday, because Ana had sloppy joes sitting at her place waiting to be eaten, our 2 families met at a park and ate dinner together. Vegas days are horrible because of the heat, but night time is just right. After eating, Zeus and Ulysses even got to play a couple pick up basketball games. :) I miss my family back in Missouri, but having another little family to spend time with makes my stay here in Vegas that much more enjoyable. And I LOVE it!
Friday, Zeus wanted to take me out on a date so we dropped the kids off at gmas that morning since our movie started at 10. We watched the Avengers. It was so good! I didn't really want our date to end yet so we just hopped on over to watch Snow White. (lol) That movie was good too. Just wanna say, LOVE spending some alone time with the hunny! :) And all of you love birds out there....you know you in love when you still feel butterflies after years of marriage. :)
Later Friday we finally received our deposit back from our old place, and what was the first thing I bought?? You got it!! I went n bought my babies the jumper I found on Craigslist!! Yay!!
Last night, just our luck. Our AC went out. And it has been in the 100s the last few days!! Luckily our property manager was able to get her guy to come out today and take a look. He fixed it THANK GOODNESS!! Also, today I took babygirl Aliah to get her ears pierced!! Omg she looks sooooo cute!! She cried when the nurse put the earrings in but she was all good after I fed her a bottle and her ears don't seem to be bothering her at all. Awwww my babygirl! Worthy had his first speech therapy session today...and let me tell you, he would not say a word for the life of me!!! I'm sure you can guess how that appt went. Lol When the sun went down, and it got cooler out, we took the kids to gmas and blew up their jumper for the first time. Worthy had a blast!! But Waylon was scared because when he jumped in, the jumper came loose from the machine that blows air in it, and the it started to collapse in on itself. Waylon was so freaked out he cried so hard and refused to get back in even after seeing Worthy jump all over it. They were so cute playing in it tho. :)

Ok so this month, Toree graduates, the Barnum and Bailey circus will be here, I get to go back home to MO for a few days, and our Utah trip at the end of the month is still up in the air. Lots to look forward to!! And I can't believe Waylon will be TWO in 2 months. YES, TWO!! Where did the time go?!
