From the couple of comments I received about my marriage being perfect...SORRY!! What I meant was, it is the most perfect marriage I could have ever asked for, for myself. A perfect marriage that works for me and my family.
I don't believe there is such a thing as a completely "perfect marriage", aka what everyone considers to be an ideal marriage. Everyone has their own personal definition of what a perfect marriage is. And what one considers to be perfect, another may consider it to be, well, WEIRD!
For example, what is an ideal family? I grew up in a family who made a little bit of side money doing polynesian shows for conventions and private parties. Entertainment was part of my life before I was even born. I consider my family to be ideal because it's all I've ever known. But would others consider it ideal? Hardly.
My point is, what works for me, might not work for you. My idea of a perfect marriage may not be YOUR marriage, yet you consider yours perfect all the same. And why not?? Why shouldn't you? Everyone deserves to be married to the love of their life living their definition of a perfect marriage. Yes it has its ups and downs. Yes it's sometimes hard. Should it be hard all the time? Not to ME! But if it works for you, then more power to ya!!
So, do I have a perfect marriage? To me and what I define to be perfect, YES!! It is full of love and laughter and joy...and sometimes headaches!! But I love every second of it. :)
you are still very lucky to have the perfect marriage in your eyes!!! our marriage is the furthest from perfect and we both know that, but it works for us :). so I guess it's perfect?! marriage is such a fun and loving experience and I wouldn't change one thing in our marriage because I love it!!!! I don't think that I could ever call our marriage perfect because we as individuals are so not, so I wouldn't expect our marriage to be. But you are absolutely correct that everyone has their own definition of "perfect" and you are one very lucky lady to have found perfection for you and you family!!!
